Here's a few shots of the rims going on...can anybody decode the engravings? I have previously seen 993-XXX...on the back side. I have not seen this before--not that I have investigated a boatload of OEM wheels before. And I understand hollow spokes have a smooth backside (besides being much lighter of course) versus the solid spokes having a more jagged backside. Can anyone confirm that?

Hollow spokes are smooth on the back like the pictures you have. But I think there should be a 993.XXX.XXX part number on them somewhere if they are OEM. Never heard of ones that don't.

These are factory oem hollow spokes. I remember seeing that engraving pattern on my 993tt hollowspokes when I took them off my car. The 993 part number is on one of the other spokes.

Thanks Burton. I was hoping to hear that. The car is still in CA and I hope to hear confirmation of the part # tomorrow.
For those of you following the early part of this thread, the shop told me that the tech who did my LD test checked his calibration against another tech. They both tested another engine in the house and my tech showed a reading of 3 percentage points higher than the other tech's on the two cylinders they both tested. I'm convinced the test was seriously flawed. But as mentioned previously, at least the readings on each of the cyclinders were consistently inaccurate.
