Looking for a pair of softback sport seats, preferably in black but I can always reupholster them if they are of a different color. TIA.

^^^ The 993 type is quite rare, much more so than 964. You can also have your stock seats rebuilt/reupholstered into sport seats, the shop just welds in 4 additional tubes to support the added bolsters. Autobahn in San Diego does it and they charge $250/seat more than their normal upholstery charge .. and I've heard there's shops in South Bay .. San Jose/Oakland that also do it. Might check in with RL'r 600RR (Sid) for a recommendation.

JPP, thanks for the tip. I'll look into that possibility, too. I do have a pair of '80s Carrera sport seats that can possibly be reupholstered, but I would like a set of originals.

Does it make sense to buy the 993 seats in any color, with the power options, or lack there of, that you want - then send them out to be built as soft back sport seats and covered in desired color?
May be worth the investigation if you can get the seats at the right price.

Too funny you've got some too. Well, I possess them, but they really aren't mine anymore. I'm sure they looked better inside a blue car than a yellow one!

I have them in my own 993 and I did have a set for sale as well but these are now sold. There are some black softbacks for sale on the german ebay. 2500 Euro....3400 USD. Even for Europe that is overpriced. For reference I sold the blue softbacks for about 2100 USD.

^^^ I would try eBay in the U.K. I find the prices to be much better than Europe and shipping isn't that expensive if you shop around.
