I would generally not worry too much about type 2 over revs and even type 3 can be acceptable if they did not happen recently and the engine runs OK.

Just for the record, Moore Speed in Austin will do an unbelievable PPI. You will end up with 250-300 detailed photos. They will stop the entire process as soon as they run into something that would be a deterrent to buying the car. So if after 2 hours they encounter something negative they stop the whole process, call you, and if they are told to stop at that point you are out $200. I'm in AZ, they PPI'd my Austin based car. The car was totally sound but the many minor issues Dave raised caused the buyer to knock $2000 off our already agreed upon price. I couldn't have been more pleased by the service and experience. Not for everyone I guess.
