it is a neat looking car.

However, If Porsche didnt need to go any further out on the GT2 flares then why should somebody else?

The bolt on flare has always been controversial, but clearly the amount of flare on the RWB car is just too much surface area to be considered tasteful or art, especially from a design/engineering stand point.

It is very boy racer-ish.

Gimmie simple GT2 flares and i would be happy.

Yes, Porsche knows best and would never let anything out of their factory that wasn't perfect. Absolutely no one should change what the Porsche gods deem right.

I guess that's why you have list of mods a mile long on your Pcar.

Take a really good look at my mods. All Porsche Cup and Clubsport factory parts. No body modifications.
Anything else that is aftermarket is the same design of Porshe Motorsports. Interchangable. Supension bits etc.
With my car, i applied what has been tried and tested by porsche. i didnt play back yard engineer and design my own wing or rockers.

One only needs to look at the Rocker Panels on the RWB car to see how the extent of the flares start to take away the refined look of the 993.
Im sure it may be functional. But very excessive.

The 993 RSR had proper flares and clean rockers which complimented the car and was functional.

I wonder if the canards on the front were thought out or just placed there for looks.
I am a fan of this style but ONLY on a race car, to do that to the outside while keeping the inside stock seems silly. As mentioned previously with only 270hp the car has way too much flash vs dash.
Here is a raced out 993... I am pretty sure those fender flares are not stock
I have no idea how effective all that body work was, but it sure looks like a modern 935.

I love RWB cars. To me they are 'art' cars. Same as Singer Porsches. Some people get it and some don't. Just like art.

Hi,

Singer cars look civilized, but are really quick, these RWB if only 270 HP must be really slow instead.....

The Singers are well engineered performers, but IMO these RWB cartoons are seemingly body shop productions. All he is doing is copying what Porsche did with wide-bodied race cars, and he gets treated as a new messiah.

This is where the Fast & Furious crowd meets Porsche.

I thought this was an interesting thread on RWB cars. After reading that Nakai runs mid 58's at Tsukuba I had to rethink what he can do with these cars.
MOST people who have cars built by him are probably not out to race, but obviously he can build a real functional race car.

Singers are art.
RWB are oversized RSR body kits.
