BTW, talking about metric fasteners, here is an info sheet on metric studs.

A local Porsche owner was confused by the way they listed stud lengths on PET and how they did not match what he was holding in his hands.

Per post #3......The seat belt bolts are the exception to "all metric" rule. They are SAE 7/16-20. OEM restraint fasteners follow that standard even if the rest of the vehicle is metric. If you are having a tough time finding bolts and want some strong ones, shop for -7 AN (dash 7) aircraft fasteners. They are strong, available in incremental lengths and have the correct thread.

+1 on the seat belt bolts being SAE. That is the only SAE on the 993 I have noticed.
