Interior lights stay on...
Hi guys,
I just realized that the interior lights on my car stay on permanently. I have tried slamming both doors and the boot lid as well. Lights still on.
The remote controlled central locking and alarm work fine.
Any ideas?
Take care
Jens.

Yep. I have already checked that the rocker switches are in the correct position.
At first I thought it was a faulty light switch. But, on second thought, I suppose a broken switch would cause the lights to stay off. Not on. Right?

It may be as simple as one of the light switch buttons is misadjusted. Try pressing each them (2 doors, hood) with the other two closed. You will have to keep the button depressed for a while as the light stays on for about 30 seconds even under normal operation. Once you know which switch, the solution should be easy.

Hey guys,
Many thanks for all the suggestions.
I checked the different switches (doors and boot) and could not find anything amiss.
Then I took a closer look at the book light, popped it out and found that one of the wires was loose almost to the point of disconnecting.
I pushed it back in place and now the lights turn off as they are supposed to, about 15 seconds after all doors have been closed.
So I suppose the loose wire was somehow shorting the curcuit, perhaps by creating a connecting with the hood.
Take care
