I'm confused: are most people not using these as a replacement for old original mats?

Default Cashmere match.....black and tan...

Mine are about 11 years old and look great still along with black dimpled Rennline dead pedal.....no wear marks except on driver's heel pad, but negligible......I also have them in my TTS but the new sisal fabric.....all black.....

You and I must be separated at birth because I have cocomats in my white 993 cab and a single sheepskin seat cover and sisal in my GT3T. 👍 I just ordered a set of jaspe for my new to me Range Rover classic.

I did not use the single post for attachment as cocomats did not recommend it, but I sort of wish I had. It does not move much, but it moves a very small amount and I am OCD. 🤣

I have Coco Mats in two P-Cars, and really like them!

They are not attached to any posts, and do not move around.

Mine are so old, that there are no post attachment/holes, etc...

PS - I took the sisal mats out of my GT3 when I sold it and moved them to my TTS.....perfect fit as anticipated

We had a set in our '84 Carrera that lasted 24 years, admittedly a bit ratty at the end. We have a set of black/red in our black/black 993. Very good quality and fit.

Where can I buy a sheepskin seat cover for the driver's seat?

I got mine from Rocky Mountain sheepskin. I am terrible at photos. I got the one step up model. $159 I think or something like that. The cheapest model has faux sheepskin on the side and the top level custom model is expensive and I don’t think adds much. Pretty much everything I own gets coco mats and sheepskin eventually.

I recently purchased their nylon mats and I ended up sending them dimensioned drawings showing the oem hole locations. My two mats arrived with holes and I can use the factory posts to secure. I did say to them that maybe they should update their stock design database to include the holes.
PM me if you want the sketches.

If they have the sketches, they can match the patterns. I have also heard if you ask nicely you can buy the fittings to add retainers. I might ask nicely now you have done the leg work. Can you post pics of the hole and whatever they put in it? Chrissy sent me paper templates for my Range Rover as there were some variances she wanted to make sure it was correct. They really take pride in having fitment perfect. I can’t say enough good things about them.

Does anyone else think that cocoa mats and sheepskin covers are too 70's for a 993?

Coco mats, no. I think they work for a lot of cars & the quality surpasses fashion.

Sheepskins, maybe. But, I have to say I bought a set for my '76 back in the 90's (when I barely had enough money to buy the car). The seat was ripped & I couldn't afford to have it redone. Well after 10 years, I never did fix the seat & loved the sheepskins. They may look a little funny in a Porsche, but real sheepskins are nice!

Side note - we bought coco mats for our Beetle. They sent out a paper pattern for me to trace & the fit is absolutely perfect. Love 'em!
