I think Sebring is a leasehold. Probably take the full winnings just to repave the place, anyway. On further reflection, probably would take over the Bruton Smith "Nurburgring outside of Vegas" project. If there ever was one.

Should have picked this up when the market was cratered?

I bought 1 ticket last night just because the store was on my way home and the 30 secs of anticipation and what ifs were worth the $2 for me. But there were several people in line spending $50, 100 at a time who clearly could have spent the money more wisely on something they really needed like food and new clothes. It just beats me how anyone can think they really have a chance with the odds well into 10's of millions to one.

Who was it that said: "Money can't buy happiness but it allows one to buy the misery to which he is best suited" ?

while i agree with the principle, and dont partake myself (beyond a few bucks on really big jackpots), to say that people dont have a chance is silly. the probability is miniscule, but its all about luck. if the people who won in the past approached it like a statistician, they never would have bought their ticket, and yet, they won.

Money can't buy love either...but it can buy all the lust any man could ever want.

What is being bought with a lottery ticket is hope. The less hope one has in one's life, the more appealing a lottery ticket is. We, who are driving around in Porsches, understand it is a math issue with near zero chance of success, but we still might buy a ticket on a whim. The poor buy a ticket for a totally different reason. They just want to escape their plight. With all that said, it is still fun to consider what we might do with such a windfall.

You need a winning lottery ticket to do that?

And its sad to see the welfare cases crack open the slew of jackpot tickets when walking by the lottery kiosk at the mall.

Nahhh, I'd still be wearing the same old pair of jeans I have and my Casio watch. I know myself too well.
