Talk with Alan or Fulton at German Car Repair ( www.germancarrepair.com ). They have great mechanical services in-house for regular maintenance and have an excellent set of external sources for special problems like your top issues. You drop the car off and they take it from there. Very fair, reasonable prices, astonishing customer service. They'll handle your Merc too.

Regards,
Terry

What part of town? If northern burbs, follow above recommendations. If in town, there are some other, closer options that are good.

Hasn't been planned yet, but if weather is good we shall have it!

I am looking in the Duluth area since I will be working in Lawrenceville.....used to live in Vinings for 3 years, but commute would be too far/much time to L-ville.....looking for something under 15 minutes, etc....

Was told to look at Sugarloaf Country Club development for a house, which I plan on doing next week before starting work in December....have some time to stay in the hotel before buying or renting something.......thanks for advice on the shops......

Andrew, if you're looking for a mature, certified indy tech who loves the air cooled P-cars as well as other European brands, Grant's European Car Care is in Hartwell, Ga near the Ga/SC border not far off of I-85. Easy to deal with, overall nice guy. Charlie Grant. 706.376.7623

Also, Andrew, my wife and I have just bought a condo in Asheville; do you have experience with the Porsche dealer there? Thumbs up/down?

Co-worker lives in Sugarloaf but doesn't care for it. Granted we work in Buckhead and he has a hellish commute.

Have heard polarizing things. I have a friend whose 993 has been there for a top end rebuild for months. It was supposed to be done by Labor Day, then by Petit Le Mans, ...

Anyone used Goldcrest Motorsports yet? Heard Bob (Sanderson) is a good guy that left Kinetic a while back to start his own shop over north Marietta area.

I highly recommend "Cali Auto" in Stockbridge, Ga. Ask for Scott Bielski. Best quality work for the best price, 30 years strictly Porsche dealership experience, now has his own shop. He maintains my 993. Scott also specializes in Cabriolet convertible top replacement.

Scott's number: (678) 763-2642. Please tell him Dean sent you...
