GLWS

def one of the better-done 993's I've seen! Excellent taste, well executed.

Price seems fair despite tall-ish miles - the condition and mods, and overall package are awesome.

I will never (ever ever ever) understand tho (and I don't need to) why I see sooooooooo many cars get built up and only see a handful of miles / months before being sold. I cannot comprehend that, but that's just me.

And it's funny to see moving to 2 newer water pumpers when we've seen so much of the opposite - I thought it was pretty telling how many posts I've seen where folks moved from new stuff back to a 993.

To each (and each's situ) their own butofcourse!

Again, well done - somone's getting a sweet one and I'm betting it won't be FS long...

Thanks for all the positive comments everyone!

We very well might be back to the air-cooled side of the street in the future! We've only had 18 Porsches over the years and the spice of life is....you know.
With the 997C2S falling in our lap for basically FREE, and our downsizing to a smaller house with possibly only a two car garage, one car has to go to a new family.
If the 993 doesn't sell we'll make some alternative storage arrangements.
We drove the 993 up to Eureka Springs for the PCA Escape last week and enjoyed every mile. Of the 4 993s that we've owned, this one is by far the nicest, most responsive, and "funnest" one of all. Winning Peoples Choice felt pretty good too!

Honestly, my dream is to live in a loft above a huge garage one day so we never have to sell another one and have regrets again.

Ha. Decades ago I envisioned rehabbing some industrial place around here for such a project. But you think I'd ever have met a woman with similar interests?

In any case, given the price of land pretty much everywhere else in the country, there's no need to. My cousin just did 2K sq ft on a one acre lot near the Carneros district in Sonoma County, and rebuilt the existing house for about $700K total. Perfect situation for him to raise his kids and keep cranking out 910s and parts.

Wish I could... a few other things I have to do first.

Seriously... if anyone is lurking here and looking for a 993, buy this car.

Not to derail the thread, but THIS x 993. I see so many FS threads featuring something to the effect of: "$23489234023 of work done since I bought the car 8 months ago. Only put 800 miles on it, now FS." Those are major head scratchers to me.

Anyway, back on topic. Joanne's car is a beauty and I'm sure it will find a new home in no time.
