Default Aftermarket LED complete tail light units, do they exist?

Has anyone ever seen a set of these LED tail lights for a 993? I see many aftermarket sets for 996's but not 993's.

To answer your question, no, there aren't LED tails available for 993s...I vaguely
remember reading about someone installing LEDs into the centre light to
illuminate the "PORSCHE" script, but I've never seen the final outcome of that.

This is just my opinion but, I think LEDs belong on new cars...The 996 and
even the 997.1 LED kits totally look out of place.

I concur. Plus I've seen one of the 997.1 aftermarket LED kits here and it looks terrible. You can tell it was aftermarket...

I've been thinking about trying to make some of these, but outside of my head I don't know of any that exist. Been pondering a long time but will hopefully have the capability to actually do it soon. They'd have to use stock style lenses, but would have the LED's behind them.

And to raise the blood pressure of the purists a few points more, my first major project is going to be some proper headlights. Stay tuned..one or maybe both may actually come to fruition, sooner or later.

Those are third in line, I will be testing them on my gaming rig. I think I will bolt them directly to the seat shell. With enough interest I may bump that up to project #1.

If there is going to be dry ice, might as well have lasers.

And if there are going to be lasers, might as well have sharks.

I've been thinking of using LED bulbs all around but keeping the stock reflectors to keep the car period-correct. I like that LEDs light up faster than incandescent bulbs.

Thought I would pose the question because I could not find anything on this subject but it is all over the 996 /997 boards.

So everyone wants to do the HID headlamp upgrade, fog, turn, parking light LED bulbs but when it comes to the tail lights, it is not acceptable?

Don't they make led bulbs the fit into the stock sockets?

That would be ideal, I think, with new lenses.
