Was a fun way to get my mind off missing Palooza this year!
Most importantly: a great opportunity to honor very cool folks for their service.

Ever decorated one of your 18 Porsches?
Since my last effort, I'm sad to say there's someone else in the queue in front of you now:
She lost her scholarship without warning, & has since sent out hundreds of resumés with no bites
In the meantime, though -- just pack up, & I'll have something lined up by the time y'all arrive
Worst-case:
There's a ready & willing miniature market for 993 Speedsters here. Any progress?

After a good while of Parade pre-positioning, there was a light from the heavens, falling onto my hood:




...then another ray of sun, on the flag...




...then from heaven came the sound of freedom: a flyby down the parade route, signifying the official beginning

One of the coolest things about this parade was that, although those of us driving down parade central were on display, there was much more history lining the sides of the street: that's where the real prizes of the parade were to be found

We were there for them
...because they had been there when it mattered, willing to risk all for us!

That's why I like it!

That flag is enormous. Incredible. Now I need a big enough yard for a big enough flagpole to fly that thing!

Great to see all those who deserve it being honored. And what a show they got!
