Anyone ever replaced a cab's door/flag window seals?
The seals on my car that wrap around and over the "flag windows" on my cab are toast. They are separating from the window frame. I have a tremendous amount of wind noise from this area when both the top is up and down. With the top up at 70 miles an hour it is very loud in the car, almost hard to have a conversation at normal volume.
The failing seals are very expensive, about $500 for the pair, so before I decide to do this I wanted to see if anyone else has had to replace theirs and to see if it is worth it.
The part numbers I believe are 993 542 095 01 and 993 542 096 01. In the Porsche catalog it doesn't say "95" it just says "-96" so I assume that is for a 1995.
Any input on this subject would be appreciated.

I have the same issue on my '95. I've been living with it for some time now because the seals are so expensive. My concern was if I spent the money, how do I know it will take care of the wind noise? Interested to see where this post goes.

My cab is pretty quiet with the roof closed. The previous owner replaced the roof about a 2 years ago and he told me he replaced all the seals which he claimed were ridiculously expensive so I imagine it included the ones you are talking about. I have all the receipts in a file so I could check for part numbers to be certain if you like.
Anyway the cabin is pretty quiet - far better than I expected for an 18 year old ragtop so I guess the seals work pretty well if they are in good condition.
