Congrats!!! Nice car in and out, well cared for and will be a blast to drive daily as I also drive my cab daily and hard to drive anything else afterwards as a DD......did it come from the factory with logo delete on the engine cover?

Yes. Option sticker shows #498 = "Without Rear Model Designation". I'm going to keep it that way as it's easier to wax and my plates (applied for) will be "993C4".

Will this be your daily driver? How many miles per year do you expect?

Looks very clean and nice.

Enjoy and keep us posted with pics and updates.

Great story and introduction. Nice looking car and it looks like it is going to a good home. You will learn to appreciate the the 993 the more you drive it, kind of like a good bottle of wine.

Congrats and welcome. Great intro story. Yeah, I would hold off on the suspension if it still handles great. Get some new black Lloyd mats from FDM, and while yer at it grab some Fister Stage IIIs.

Beautiful car congrats!! I read a lot during the week. Mostly business and finance stuff along with fantasy football which i do enjoy very much. But your post is the stuff that really gets me going. What you said "...call it connection or soul...or whatever".

Welcome to the dark side. Just kidding. I am another convert from 997 to 993. While I liked the 997.1 well enough the 993 has a soul that calls to me. As soon as I finish this coffee I am going for a morning drive to hear that siren song again.

Enjoy your new car. Nice choice and worth the wait.

Great looking car and welcome to the group of us who dd our cars. And I get the "soul" idea. I have a 996 as well and even though it is quicker it is not as fun to drive. The 993s just talk to you. Again great car and story!

Congratulations! Enjoy that great car.

My 997.1 C2S was my first Porsche and I have kept it even after buying my 993 C4S but I have to admit I like the 993 better and if it weren't for track purposes, I might sell the 997. Since neither are DDs for me, outside of the track, I only drive the 997 when I feel a little guilty that I haven't driven it in a while. That said, when I do drive it, I get a real kick out of it - it's a pretty amazing driver.

Congrats! I'm surprised you didn't like the PSE; it was one of my favorite things about my 997.

RS Short Shift Kit + Golden rod is something to check out (fdmotorsport.net).. one thing that you need to tighten! and do a Stage2\3 upgrade.. there should be a law ensuring that every 993 changing hands get these done

Gorgeous! Although I love my black C2, silver is definitely a color that stands the test to time and always shows great, clean or dirty. Congrats!

Nice Story and Welcome. I really like 997 especially the GT3 but realistically maybe a Carrera S or the GTS would be better for me. I was even thinking about going to the Cayman R. But after reading these stories about going from a 997 to a 993 makes me think twice about selling the 993. Decisions, Decisions
