Default Repainting my 1997 993

After recently acquiring my 993 from a fellow Rennlister in PA, I decided to have the car repainted by Phil Rowland of Eurofinish in Virginia Beach. It had a lot of road rash from track use and I knew that when purchased.

I am replacing front and rear bumper covers due to prior repairs on the old covers. They are FS! https://rennlist.com/forums/for-sale...r+bumper+cover

Replacing all bits of rubber gasket material between fenders and bumper covers, windshield washers, headlight washers, sunroof gasket, 993 hood emblem...EVERYTHING

Also replacing the RS side skirts with new (Sold old ones to Deadton). Only body damage was driver side rear quarter and that has been completely reworked with some welding as well. Having Turbo Twist Wheels powder coated so the wheels on it now are not staying! Perhaps some may enjoy the pictures as it moves toward completion by Thanksgiving (I Hope!). When complete, it will be better than new...according to Phil!

PM your email and I can send two proposals. I had one shop also do a complete write up but went with Phil for a higher price. A good estimate is $8,200.

my 993 could use a little paint but it breaks my heart to remove the factory finish.... same for my 997RS..

That was gone on this car some time ago. The quarter had been repainted twice and each fender once. Bumper covers more than once and body filler on those parts. We figured the only panel not painted was the roof and left rear quarter. Rock chips on left rear corner not repairable without paint. If the car had no repainting I likely would have done nothing but it had reached the point where now we will have the entire car with one level of paint and clear.

Man,,, I'm digg'in the before pictures! Those particular front, side and rear spoilers fit the classic body style well. Me thinks it looks great. Looks every bit the part of a hot rod Porsche 911, not like my sleeper production stock C2S, but you're ditching the RS spoilers??? Are ya going for the absolute classic asthetic?
Either way what's not to like with a 993 coupe with an all factory production look.

Good luck with the through re-paint.

Hey Gordo I gave you my cell so you can be sure about the rear depending on what you need and hoping I can sell both at the same time.

Hey Mike I am definitely putting back all the RS bits. Bought new side skirts and having front splitters repainted and rear wing redone as you can see. Thanks for the comments!

Looks like a nice project.... You'll love the final outcome, and the car will be super shinny

Default Bumper Covers

New Front and Used Rear which Phil had saved for 10 years! Going to fill the holes on the rear for the Euro look I had already. Phil says we should install little bumper things on the front rather than fill those holes. I am inclined to agree.

I would be tempted to go for the sunroof delete if I ever had to do a full repaint. Hope it turns out great.
