I have been planning on some tartan seats in my 993 since I got it a four months back. With the help of E3photo(Emerald), I got another set of front seats and sent them off to Robert at Classic 9 Leather.

He found a nice tartan(U.S. Navy) and ordered it from Scotland. The whole process took a month and a half and was totally worth it. I put the seats in this morning and am happy. The foam is fresher and they are more supportive then my other seats. And they look the business.

Because it is getting cold I also put on the blue(!!!!) turbo twists I bought from CarreraX. They look pretty cool too. I am definitely going to get lots of scowls from other Porsche owners. But then again, when they saw my dirty car before with the roof rack and wheels covered in brake dust, they looked away in disgust. At least now the blue will hide the dust a little better.

the idea is cool, but I don't like the blue.

i also think it would be more fitting in an earlier car.

What I like most is that you did it. Who cares what we like or don't? It really gives the interior some "pop".

Interesting, was fabric seat an option for 993s?
Definitely not "correct", but interesting.

Yeah, I just wanted to share the pics. I did it for myself and I am happy with it. Now blue mirrors would be something else. You have given me an idea Emerald!!!!!

Like it a whole lot. I'd also do the door panel insert in the same tartan material to complement the seats.

PS. I hope you've put seat heaters in while changing the seat covers. That would be my preferred combo - heated cloth.
