creak: high/center firewall whilst turning wheel @ rest
First, I try in all cars @ most times to not do exactly this - crank the wheel whilst stopped (owned too many German cars and accrued hundreds of thousands 'o miles and know thy consequence) .
Regardless, the few times I do have to do it lately - I'm hearing a creak from what sounds to be the high/center firewall. At first I thought it was in the column but now heard it w/ top & windows down and can hear it outside somewhat.
Is this the rack? Seems to have appeared out of nowhere. Known issues/remedies?
Read a few threads about rack R&R here, those seem to be leak-related tho?
TIA for any insight. Not terrible or all the time (yet) but good to know what's comin down the pike...
