Since there are lots of threads on here about suspension set ups, I think that a few might be interested in this series of articles:

The writer has a suspension business in Redwood City, CA and seems to be well known in the Miata scene (http://fatcatmotorsports.com/index.htm). Perhaps nile13 knows about him. But in one of the comment threads he reports to also have done work on a 993 with a M030 suspension. He says this about the 993 and the work he did on it:
He explains what he means by jacking down in the second article and a video he has posted, there. If I was local and looking for a suspension upgrade, I'd check out what he has to offer.

The 993 we tuned came with M030 suspension. By road and shock dyno tests, it has a strong tendency for high-speed jacking down. When we adjusted this with some FCM Elite-tuned Bilsteins, there was no road patter and larger bumps taken with greater ease via better proportional high-speed rebound vs. bump.
