First of all what is the official name for this part so I can order a new one..

Second question is what are the three oil gauges for? I see oil temp in the middle, oil level on the right, and ? Oil pressure on the left? If so, where should the pressure be during tame daily driving?

That's the air duct cover for the cooling fan. It has two part numbers.
993-106-403-00 or 964-106-403-02. I think the part # is stamped on the backside somewhere.
It costs around $70 from dealer and fairly easy to install. Just be careful with removing old part as it can crumble and pieces can fall inside engine.

In response to your second question.
The level guage on the right should be at the top or 5 when driving. It will fall down when idle. The guage on the left is the oil level. This should be pointing at 3:00 at idle and when the oil temperature is hot. It will be at the bottom position in the red when you are driving. It needs to idle 10 seconds or so before it moves to the 3:00 position assuming proper amount of oil in car. I find this guage is somewhat inconsistent and dependent on how I've driven the car and levelness of the road.

Okay, here is my take on the oil gauges.
1. The one on the left is the oil level, but it only measures the top liter or so. It is meant to be read ONLY when the engine is fully warmed up and the car is parked on a level surface, idling for a minute or so. Under these conditions, you want it to read between just above the red mark at the bottom to about the middle of the scale. When you are driving, this gauge will often dip into the red as the oil moves in and out of the tank--learn to ignore that.
2. The gauge in the middle is the oil temperature. Under normal driving, mine reads between 1/4 and 1/3 of the range of the gauge. It never goes above halfway up.
3. The gauge on the right is the oil pressure. It should read at minimum about one bar (around 15 psi) per 1000 RPM. When cruising on the freeway, mine is usually pegged at 5 bar.
A happy oil level for my engine is when the oil level and oil temperature gauge needles generally point at each other when the engine is at operating temperature. This means the oil level is about halfway between the two marks on the dipstick. If I fill it past that point, it pretty quickly burns off or spits up the excess, and then to some owner's, the oil is a little low, so they add a pint, and the engine gets rid of that, so the cycle repeats.
Verify the oil level gauge accuracy with the dipstick when the engine is warm (running of course). Do this several times and you will learn whether to trust the gauge (mine is spot on).
The owner's manual has a pretty good explanation of these gauges, too.
May I extend a hearty welcome to this fine group. Your car is gorgeous (it's the twin of mine).

To the suffering Bosoxfan - be careful when buying a replacement duct. The early cars had a 964 number, the later ones had a 993 number as Marc G. stated above. Yours, as a '95 car, can be either.
As a new 993 owner you should know about Sunset and Suncoast, two Porsche dealers that sell OEM parts at very discounted prices. You need to tell Sunset that you are _not_ in Oregon to get the low price.
If you are actually in Boston and need a little walk-trough on the car, like what the oil gauges do and general care and feeding, I'm right downtown and can meet to give you a little hands-on explanation session. You will probably want to do a couple of things with the car that are an absolute must to drive in today's world. One of them being HID headlights.

I think I once posted some pics of the two side by side, but can't seem to find them.
Found it!

Yours appears to be 993 part.
