Alternative for Facto AT30 degreaser?
Several here (Canadians I think) have recommended this as one of the best commercially available water based degreasers. Its imported into the US but only in 5 gallon pails. This makes shipping very expensive, especially when i only need smaller quantities. What should I be looking for that has similar performance but is readily available in the US?

I'm sure IXLR8 will chime in when he sees this thread. Its an aeronautical degreasing formula that is safe on aluminum. Those that know say its the best water based degreaser out there.....the pics speak for themselves

We have a chain of stores up here called Princess Auto. They are similar to your Harbor Freight stores in the US.
The reason I brought that up is Princess Auto has a degreaser that looked and smelled almost identical to Facto AT30. I gave a gallon jug a try and it was almost as good (maybe they thin it down a bit)
So I just looked up to see what Harbor Freight has. They have a degreaser in a gallon jug as well, quite dark colored, darker than Facto AT30. Maybe it is the same. I can't comment if it is.
I will continue to use Facto AT30 till I find something better. Since 1986 (it was called Indo 505 back then), it is all I have been using.
In the US, the product is supplied by Swish Kenco Ltd.
In Canada, the product is supplied by Swish Maintenance.
Ernie should be able to fill you in on the rest of the details with respect to US purchases and shipping.
Post #14 and onwards on this thread shows some results.

I'm assuming its dark blue, not the yellow solution that Harbor sell. Reviews are mixed. Not sure if its the same as AT30

Depends on the use.
When I get a used motorcycle or car that has never been cleaned, I use it fully concentrated. Even then, it is so effective that you use so little of the product thereafter, that I use it fully concentrated as well.
When washing my daily driver after a long winter where the Krown rustproofing has wicked up the outside body panels, I'll use it fully concentrated otherwise I'll dilute it. I use it around the house: kitchen, range hood, etc.
I pour some into a small 175 ml yogurt container or into a small Tupperware container, dab my 1" paintbrush or toothbrush into it and go at it. When the solution gets really dirty, I just chuck and refill...minimal waste that way.
Some of the items I use.

Alex, your list of items is missing one more thing.....

I think it would freeze. I don't know if it would affect the product. My guess is that it would not change its effectiveness, but better to ask them.
