Default Titan scissors lift question

I know this is a very specific question, but, is anyone using a Titan MD-6XP mid rise scissors lift for their 993 on a RaceDeck garage floor? Two questions if anyone is: first, does the 993 fit well on the lift, and second, how does the floor react to the lift and the rollers with the weight of the car? Any comments would be appreciated.

I have a Bendpak scissor lift. I have Race Deck tile, but it is not installed where I have the lift, I have X' x X' of open area/bare concrete and I used trim around it like a picture frame and finish the edge. I painted the concrete in that area to "match" the tiles, and have S/S plates for the rollers to roll on, to protect the concrete. That is how you make it compatible-you cannot set a scissors lift on the tiles.

Oh, the lift works great for rear-engined Porsches-best tool I've ever bought.

So was I, and I went back and forth for about two years deciding which to get, a scissors lift or a compact two post lift. It was after seeing both lifts in action locally that I decided upon a MaxJax.

In my case, either required concrete work as I wasn't interested in a scissors lift unless it was sunk down into a 5" cavity in my garage floor. In the case of my MaxJax Install, I am glad I didn't assume my garage floor was good enough.

Unless you've made your decision already, take you time deciding.

watching your photo blog alex! looks like its coming along!

im certain my 30+ year old garage floor is not up to this without having a mason come in and rework a section like your doing personally. i wouldnt object to having this done...

keep us posted as you come along with this project

I'll be ordering the rebar this week and pouring the concrete next week. Then it'll be a 28 day cure time till I get to lift anything.

And you want to get this work done. I have (sore) muscles that I never knew I had.

Thanks everyone. Appreciate the info. Ed.........., when I was researching this topic, I saw a picture that you posted of your setup and what looked to me as your 95 993 on the BendPack, directly on the RaceDeck floor. You must have made some changes since that pic was taken? I can picture what you have done, and as much as I love the floor, looks like I have to cut and trim. Thanks again.

Au Contraire....I've always had the space with the lift void of tiles. As I mentioned, I have S/S plates.

The freedom of being unencumbered around the perimeter is why I didn't go Max Jack. I also have the flexibility of moving mine, which I have done in the past, when I changed where I park the Porsche.

I hope this pic loads correctly, iphones turn them upside down sometimes.

I have the bend-pak also. I simply built a 12x2 risers on each side of the lift. I painted them epoxy black afterwards. Like Ed, I like the ability to move it if needed.

Thanks for both updates, and pictures. Looks like I have some planning to do. Will send in pictures once complete. And, I agree with both of you, the ability to move around is very important.
