Bluechem oil system cleaner, yes or no?
A local indie shop gave me a can of bluechem power maxx oil system cleaner, my question is have any of you heard of this, and would you use it ? There is not a whole lot of info on the web about this stuff. Given that 1 can will treat 6 lt , would it have any effect if diluted in our 10-12 lt systems? Directions state , add to hot oil , idle for 10-15 minutes then drain entire system.
Any advice would be appreciated , I've never trusted these " snake oil" claims
Info from their site

This is a new product to the USA. It is German made and is excellent. Blows BG away. It is less expensive also. They have products for gas and diesel. Boats as well.

Better than BG there's a sales pitch! I have spent 15 years in the lubricants industry and trust me when I say do not let any of these products near your engine!!! It is simply not recommended or required for engine longevity. Stick to the basics, a good quality oil changed as recommended for years of trouble free performance.
