My car has the option code for the white faced gauges but there there is no "S" logo on the tach. Did some "S" model cars not have an "S" on the tach or have mine been replaced by PO ?

If the white gauges were spec`d from new then the white dials were supplied with the silver rim but there was no carrera S script.
I have seen white dials with carrera S script but in every occasion they had been fitted at a later stage using an after market kit.
Factory fitted white dials never had the 'S' script in the tach. If they are factory fitted, they will have a chrome inner bezel on each of the gauges.
I had my dial faces turned white, but I found a set of inner rings and kept the 'S'
