Need a PPI in the above area...1988 930 at RAC Performance...anyone know of heard of them? They were the RUF dealer in Texas until 2008 due to economy they gave it up....please provide names of shops to use. Thanks

RAC is well known and they do a terrific job on my car and others on this forum. I am confident that they have gone thru this car and corrected any items that needed attention. Dallas is a large metroploitan area and there are several good shops here and I understand the need to have a 2nd opinion since you appear to be from OH and are not familiar with the Dallas area. Before discovering RAC 6 years ago I used a shop called Nine-Eleven Enterprises and was pleased with their work, I dealt with Barry Gibbs the President and Service Mgr. Nine-Eleven is about 20 minutes from RAC so not far by TX standards! No affiliation with either shop. Have you posted this in the 911 Turbo forum? Let us know how everything works out!

A bodywork and mechanical PPI is absolutely needed especially when considering buying a vehicle from RAC. I've seen 2 cars personally that were not accurately described and had very poor paint jobs. Any used car dealer should be approached with a degree of caution.

For PPI consider Louden's or 911 Enterprises as these are closest to their location. Air cooled specialists would be Mayo and Zim's, but these shops are 45 mins drive.

I have a lot of confidence in RAC. I have helped do Rennfaxs for several recent buyers who were very pleased with their purchases.

I am happy to check the car out. I have seen that 930 and it is an amazing car. Very, very cool and freshly rebuilt/upgraded.

I'll roll over there this afternoon as it is close to my office.

BTW, one of the cars that CorrdoBrit is talking about was a 993TT that got wet. My neighbor owns that car and is extremely pleased with it. Full disclosure was given and the car was priced accordingly.

I am not, however, saying that every car they sell is perfect. But I certainly trust them and have purchased several cars from them.
