Default Where to find shifter boot in marble grey?

It's time to refresh my shift **** and boot but I am having trouble finding anyone carrying the marble grey option. All i see are black leather pieces. Can anyone point me to the right place?

If your current boot is in good condition, I might recommend re-dying it. Colorplus sells an 8 oz can of p-car factory colors, for around $40. I re-dyed a classic grey steering wheel and other bits that came out like new. No affiliation, just a happy customer.

I'm in the same boat as the OP'er, the wear on the top of my Marble Grey shift **** is the only thing in the interior showing it's age.

Will the Colorplus process hold up well to the usage a shift **** gets?

Default Making a boot

I made a shift boot, in my case speed yellow from a triangle of yellow leather I purchased on ebay. Folded and glued the seams with 3M strip adhesive. I made a hoop at the bottom from a coat hanger wire folded into the bottom seam. The hoop clipped over the exiting black boot's well and the new boot tied at the neck with a strip of yellow leather to form a matching lace. This is a very easy kitchen project. Is several years old now and still looks a functions great.

I am looking for more of a OEM look. I love the aluminum ball-shaped shifter and ebrake that many of you have...just wish i can find it in marble grey!

I also touched up the shifter **** with the dye and it came out great. The stuff is easy to use. I used a small foam brush.

Which brand / kit did you use? Was the color Marble Grey?

I bought an old shifter from another Rennlister and have removed stitching and separated the old leather for patterns, just having a heckuva time sourcing the correct shade and grain of leather.

Are you guys talking about the shift boot with an open top? If so, there is a distinct possibility that they will be made available in a month or so... have a little side project currently in the works.

I just purchased a can of the color, not the kit. Mine was Classic Gray. I don't see Marble grey listed as a standard color. I'd pick up the can from Kevin (KBell), or call the company. They make custom colors for $88 in an 8 oz can.
