Alan Gun Lost my part?
{EDIT} He did send it eventually keep reading to see the color matching? {EDIT}
I'm not really sure what to do. I've give a brief rundown. After reading good things about alan Gun from Alan Gun Leather Accessories
www.aglausa.com,
I requested him to build a matching shifter for a 97 993. The colour is a non standard (something like chestnut red). Anyway he made the part but it was not a great match. No problem I sent is back with the cover of my ash tray to get an exact match.
He receives the part and then tells me it's complete and he's sending it back. that was 3 months ago. and despite multiple (i mean over 10 emails and phone calls) I can't get hold of him. It's not the shifter that I'm concerned about, it's my part. I foolishly sent this to him and I think he's either lost it or doesn't care because he won't reply.
I've paid him for the first shifter and absolutely happy to pay for the 2nd one. it's more that he's just hard to get hold of. does anyone know him or have any suggestions. I also have no idea how to now replace my ash tray cover
To make matters worse I'm in Australia so it's not really that easy to get hold of him during business hours. hence the emails
Any suggestions.

I'm curious-where on earth did you possibly find positive feedback on AGLA? I'd not think it was here on Rennlist. A search would surely pop up many negatives. If you found positive feedback elsewhere, maybe an inquiry to those folks?

Yup, it's a shame you didn't research him. He has a long and storied history of shoddy work and unsatisfied customers. Now you get to add yourself to that sorry list.
Chances are very unlikely that you'll get your item back.

He completely destroyed my 997 steering wheel. When I pulled it out of the box, my wife laughed and asked me if I’d sent it to my 10 year old niece by mistake. I have seen Emily’s work (she had been doing those cardboard animals with the yarn) and I wish it was that good. He said he’d make good on it if I sent it back to him. Three weeks later, I got the wheel back and he hadn’t done a thing to it. He accused me of doctoring photos of it and “pulling on the leather”.
