Default Blank Screen CDR-210

The battery recently died in my 993. I got the battery charged but the screen on my CDR-210 is totally blank. It doesn't say CODE. I tried pushing all of the buttons with no luck. I checked the fuse and it is good. The radio always worked great before today. Any suggestions? I have dealt with the guys at Becker in NJ and they are great but thought I would try here first.
Thanks

Are you getting any sound.

First, try wiping off the connectors on the face plate. They are known to get gummed up and cause problems. If that doesn't wor,k I have a spare one I'll send you and you can see if your face plate died.

Chuck,
Thanks for your response. No sound whatsoever. It won't let me eject the CD that is in the unit either. I tried cleaning the connectors. They are shiny like new but still nothing. It seems like I'm not getting power to the unit but the fuse looked good. Are there any other relay's or fuses that control the radio that I am missing?
Thanks,
Todd

I have been swapping radios a lot lately and I seem to remember a 10 A fuse on the back of my cdr 210. Maybe that went bad with your battery? Best attack is to lay on your back on the passenger floor with a small flashlight and have a look up there before you try pulling the whole radio. Best of luck.

Thanks for the tip. I don't have the removal tool so I will try that.

I think Andy is on the right track. Plus, once you pull it out you may discover another issue that is causing the problem. Oddly enough, I have seen these radios just die too. Keep us posted.
