Default Reprogramming immobilizer unit

I am purchasing a fellow RL members' left over immobilizer unit, for use with my car. Both of our cars are 96 993 C2's.
Does anyone have the procedure to reprogram one unit to a different car? Will I need his owners code to perform this transformation?
Thank you in advance for any information on this subject...

Default can be done

There is a guy in Van Nuys CA, Lance Aspesi that can do it...I am almost certain. Send me an email and I get you all his contact info
mfschacht@gmail.com

Lance has done some pretty tricky electronic work for me and others.

You will need the code either off of the immobilizer card, or off of the immobilizer control unit (under the driver's seat). I'm pretty sure I remember how to do it, but it's a very specific procedure, so it would be best if someone who has a hard copy of the directions can explain it.
