Many of us have used the services of John Broek over the years. He is one of the most knowledgeable and fanatical mechanics of all things Porsche, especially the 993. John is also a great driving instructor for Morrisport Advanced Driving.
John had an accident while on vacation in the Okanagan. He had a rope around three of the fingers, on his right hand, when the inter tube behind the boat he was in suddenly pulled. He has lost the tips of these three fingers and the doctors were not able to reattach them. For a guy who makes a living on the wrench, this is a huge blow.
For those that know John, I hope you join me in wishing him a speedy recovery and long career under the hood. Il know he will be back at work as soon as he can...

John is a great mechanic and a great guy, never a dull moment spending time with him. I wasn't aware of this mishap and I do hope that he will be back doing what he does best soon.
Thanks Zack for letting us know.
