That was another concern, even though they are OEM.

Curious: Cutouts versus back-lit - which is preferable? I'd think back-lit looks better, but is the non-OEM look a common issue?

I have the factory silver gauges (matching the aluminiun ****er and handbrake).

Have to say, the latter two are nice, but I find the silver gauges horrible. Hard to read (to my eyes). Look white in certain light. The cutouts for the warning lights look silly due to the contrast.

Strongly prefer stock black VDO backgrounds.

Oh well, to each therir own!

Best,

Matt

Here's what mine look like (thanks PO!):

Do the warning lights show through from the back of the gauges with these?
Do you have a picture of the warning lights showing?

Thanks,
Dave

My car came with them back when we got it 14 years ago and I just assumed they were aftermarket. Do non-black gauges with cut outs mean they are factory? Is there a build/option code listed if they are factory? Originally a Canadian delivery maybe they were installed when brought to the US.
