RWB 993 Racing at the 12 Hours of Motegi

A few months ago, I was invited by the owner/creator of RWB to join him and many other RWB owners from around the world to race in the Idlers Club 12 Hours of Motegi Race. I've race in the States for years and always bring my dad to work as my crew chief. So, when my wife was unable to go, I invited my dad for a quick trip to Tokyo Japan and then a race weekend at Twin Ring Motegi.
The RWB creator, Nakai, build 5 RWB cars for the owners to race in. Most were 993's while there was one 964. The owners were teamed up and we raced in two cars during the 12 hour event. Car one for me was the Pink Pig, which we ran for the first 6 hours. Then, at the half way point, we switched to car two, for me an olive drab 993. The cars position overall didn't really matter as we, as a group, were not trying to win but rather finish without wrecking or blowing a motor etc. (something that would have cost more...)
Below are some pics of the event. I wish I could separate the pictures and add titles under each. The jet engine is from the Boeing 777 which is extremely large to say the least. The city views are from "sky tree" the tallest building in Tokyo. You get 360 degree views at about 110 floors up. Regardless of which way you look, it is buildings to the horizon. Tokyo and its immediate burrows is much larger than NYC from what I understand. It is incredible the size of this city.
There are pics of RWB's shop/office, a very eclectic collection of items from around the world. I had to "test fit" some of the race seats due to my size vs. some of the guys from Bangkok and Japan. As they said about my 6'2" 215lbs body...you going to need big boy seat.
The, nearly 3 mile, road coarse is liquid smooth and very fun to drive. The corners lead one into another with a very nice rhythm. There is undulation as well which makes the curves even better.
I was able to expand my cultural horizon and meet and become friends with some great car guys from all over the world. I am attempting to link a video of the event as Discovery TV was following the RWB team from the shop to the track and everything in between. Speedhunters.com was there shooting with multiple guys.
The film maker and producer of this video is working on a longer version that I will try to post when he is complete. His name is Tenn and he has documented many builds that RWB has done in Thailand.
