Probably take alot of work to get "Maynard" to turn right, as well as it turns left.

Interior is all business.

Happy birthday JPP.
Same to you Joe-boy. Man .. that thing looks like it might have been in a barn for awhile too ...

Well ... I may have to restore it in there if I can't get all the berry bushes cut away from the trolley doors ...

Sooo .... ok ... I confess PART of this story is a little out of scale. Heh ....

BUT .. the story is TRUE! I first saw this car in this picture in this thread about our own JoAnne and Robert Trinkle's amazing cars and model collection:
https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=66492

... and I really was 'talking' with them one day and mentioned how much I loved the 'Old Speedster Barn Find' Diarama Robert had obviously hand made with intricate attention to detail .. it really reminded me of the old barn that I used to fix up the junker cars in that was behind my dad's dealership ... right down to the heavy chain and block for hoisting engines and the like out of my 'victims' ....

so .. I asked them if it was for sale too .. and 'how much' would they take for it ... and immediately they responded .. 'Happy Birthday! What's your address?' OMG!! C'mon .. they just don't make people like this anymore .. honestly .. it was/is the nicest, sweetest gesture and it just made this birthday the best in a loooong time! Thanks you guy's .. you are the BEST!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my dear dear friend. May you enjoy it for many years to come. I see some of the 'lumber' fell into the Speedster. Oh well. It needs some TLC anyway.

Do you know what those wall are covered with?

Yes .. evidently we had a small quake today .. and that lumber teetered off the wall into the car's trunk. Oh well, just add it to the 'list' ..

Hmmm .. I was wondering about the wall 'treatment' ... maybe some of that rare 'emory board' wood ...?

Lots and lots of Popsicle sticks. He'd and cut them and they would in turn cut him, and he had a ton of splinters. I could here !!!!^%$$!!! all the way into the house from the garage sometimes. And if you ask him who first thought of using popsicle sticks, he MIGHT tell you the truth...

You talked to him in person though... I was 16 and called into Larry King Live and asked him how many Porsches he had and which ones. I guess that's cool in it's own right. I also had the chance to see his show in 2002 when his tour stopped in Grand Rapids.
