Hello there! I'm a new member here, as you can see. Even with this 13-year-old nickname I'm a true Porsche fan. I created a blog about german cars and started to write about the GT2 history.
So, I'm in the 993 generation and it's being very confusing.
We have 188 units of 993 GT2s.
- 57 are road versions, which include the '430 bhp', the '450 bhp' (WLS) and 20 Club Sports.
- 110 racing versions with 450-500 bhp and called what? Competition version or GT2 R as I saw in a couple of sites.
- 21 GT2 Evo, the GT1-focused with 600 bhp.
Am I correct? Do you have a link with these kind of geek information? I only have the Kindle version of the Brian Long book. Can't buy the Adrian Streather.
There were 2 series of the road version...the first 430 batch were made in '95 and had ali doors, the later, '98 MY 450bhp EVO versions were back with steel doors.
