Was wondering if anyone knows of a good place to get a 993 PPI done in Indianapolis.
Thanks in advance,

Al, I bought my car in Indianapolis, but I didn't get a PPI done I felt safe buying the car due to the service records, my ability to do all the work to the car myself and the price. I took a chance and it paid off - but from some of the stories on rennlist I got lucky. At any rate - back to the original question - the local shop that had done most of the maintenance on the car including a clutch job and all other required maintenance was this place:http://www.eurocardoc.com/9052.html and a guy named Brian Stewart - they seem to have a fair amount of Porsche experience.

Euro Motorworks at (317) 595-9272 did my 993 C4S in 2008. They were very thorough.

I flew in from Pittsburgh, bought the car, and drove home. Their description was very accurate. Even overly critical.

YMMV.

+1 for Brian at Eurocardoc. Great to hear someone else had a favorable experience with him. Mixed reactions on Euromotorworks. Bob Farmer is good and VERY talkative, but he really likes 3.2 Carreras and has some negative opinions on 964's and perhaps 993's. Peter and Thomas at Autobahn have good experience with these cars, but also some mixed opinions. Good luck.

Thanks everyone, I drove to Indy last weekend to look at a black TT. It was NOT worth even the trip up to see it.
Amazing how some one can let a nice 97 TT go to the dogs. It was described as having a fender replaced but
"can't tell it has been replaced" by the owner. It looked like it was painted with a brush by a 4 year old. several other
panels did not match. Driver door falling off due to the pin on the hinge 90 percent out. Scratches and tears on the plastic
body panels. Leaked oil like the exxon valdez. He asked me if I wanted to drive it. And I said no thanks.
Jumped back in my car and drove back. He did mentioned some one from the west coast was willing to buy it sight unseen.
I surely hope that indivdual reconsiders or he will be for a big unpleasent surprise when he sees the car in person.

O well....
Thanks everyone for the shop recomendations,

Al Z
