Question CEL after O2 sensor replacement

This has probably come up before, but I need help. My '95 993 was showing intermittent CEL and the code read out was 1124, O2 sensor. Replaced it with Bosch 0258003369009, Porsche 993-606-126-01/14. After several resets, the CEL is still on. What is wrong?

Thanks in advance for help with this puzzle!

The '96+'s have (4) O2 sensors, I have no idea how many are on the 95's. Which one did you replace? When I've replaced mine I did them as a pair (pair of pre-cat or pair of post-cat) but then I've never replaced the post cat ones.

The '95 has only one O2 sensor.
I could be wrong but I thought the early cars had two and the later cars had four.

P1124 error code (O2 sensor) does not necessarily mean sensor is defective, sorry you bought new one

it means basically;
- volume of fuel supply low, in other words, fuel pump or fuel filter etc.
or
- fuel injector(s) clogged
or
- air intake system leaking

in other words, mixture is lean

Finally found it! One wire/pin in the plug at the end of the new sensor cable had pulled out slightly. It clicked back into the plug when pushed on. That solved the problem. Was the white wire, (sensor output?).

For what it's worth, I replaced the O2 sensor because was getting intermittent CEL, and the car would hesitate on acceleration. The hesitation seems to be gone with the new sensor.
