Default Piston orientation

I'm trying to figure out which side is up on my Mahle 3.8 pistons. The 'E' usually represents intake but the valve reliefs on the pistion are bigger for the exhaust than the intake . I tried to upload a picture but I don't know how.

Good reference!... doesn't Joel write for Pano? I'd think he knows his stuff. Actually, I know he knows his stuff. I'm sure he can get your cams timed for you, and your pistons oriented correctly.

But he's still going to need the cam grind specs. For your problem, that's the first step.

The cam grind specs are as follows:
Duration at 1 mm = 248/234
Duration at .50" = 242/228
Valve lift = .490".455"
Lobe speration angle = 112
Lift @ overlap setting = 2.0
