Slightly OT: TV writers with a sense of humor?
(The following came to mind from a random post over on the 911 Forum where a guy posted asking for tips on buying a '99-'04. I, then Ed, commented, and then he posted he was now looking for a G50 torsion bar car. Ed suggested we "saved another one.")
So, the following came to mind in light of some TV viewing, and I posted in that thread. But hey, what's a better way to spice up an otherwise mundane weekend around here than suggesting maybe there are some air cooled (993?) enthusiasts out there lurking, from whom we never hear?
Anyway................
If anyone watched the show "Necessary Roughness" last week there was a scene where the new rookie's car was arranged to be stolen by the veteran as part of some hazing. Later found in Nowhere, NJ was a heap of a parted out 996 Cab.
Wonder who's the Porsche enthusiast on that show?
