Those are definitely NB/2S calipers and rotors. Gauge faces look aftermarket.

X71 - Aluminum Instrument Dials .. on the option code list. This option eliminated the Carrera S script on the tach BTW ... but you can have it added back at North Hollywood Speedo for about $80 ..

Ahh, a smart person would read the option codes. I wasn't aware of the pebbled leather being on the dash center as well. Nice detail.

Yes and it's also on the sun visors on the S .. a little known extra that I wasn't aware of until I sat in one at a Cars n Coffee one day. The owner was VERY nervous .. I tried not to touch EVERYTHING .. I don't think anybody can source that stuff either except from Porsche and of course, after doing that you wouldn't be able to drive because you'd be missing some limbs.

FWIW, my 97 C2S has the aluminum instrument dials AND the "Carrera S" script on the tach and I am pretty sure it's factory as there are no mods on the car whatsoever.

Well, I'd be the first to admit .. just when I think something is always this way or that way about Porsche, it isn't. But, in my experience, all the S cars I've seen with factory aluminum look gauges have not had the script but Hartmut Beheren's at North Hollywood Speedometer told me they add this script for aluminum look customers often enough to have the artwork at the ready all the time and the artwork is indexed to place the script at exactly the same position as the black stock gauge .. but of course, there's two ... one for cars with standard tach's and one for cars with the digital readout display at the bottom. Knowing the quality of their work firsthand and that of Palo Alto Speedometer, I doubt anybody could tell it from factory.
