No longer a 993 Owner
993er, wanted to give you an update on my status. I have been a long time 993owner, but after owning a 95 Carrera, a 96 Carrera, and a 98 C2s I have decided to go a complete different direction with my Porsche ownership.
My last 993, a 1998 C2s, which I replaced with my 1996 C2 was a great car, but besides the look, it was identical to my 96 C2 but it cost me over $20K more. I received a competitive offer so I sold it and replaced it will a 996 Turbo.
I know I know, the 996 isn’t the prettiest Porsche, but you can’t beat the performance to price ratio. For around $40 K, nothing comes close to this price range.
One day I will come back to the 993 family with a 993 Turbo. To me, it’s the ultimate Porsche! I will not post as heavily on the 993 board, but I will follow closely.

I feel for ya. Tough to leave the fold. Just sold my '96 93 Carrera Coupe to finance a new '13 Boss 302 Mustang. Miss the 993, but love the new Boss. Tough decision, but like you (and Ahnold) I'll be back... someday.
