Default FS: Brand New JIC Cross Competition 993 Coilovers

All information can be found here...http://cross-na.com/ViewProduct1.asp...0&CarMakeID=14

They have an amazing build quality, much different than the PSS9s or 10s. A true work of art.

Please feel free to ask any questions. These were put on my car while my pss9s were being rebuilt. The car was not driven, just rolled out of the garage and covered. A local 993 friend sold me these but I have decided to stick with the PSS9's, as I have never had any issue with them and these will bring a higher price.

$2200 OBO shipped anywhere in the US.

I believe they stopped making them. Not entirely sure though. I know everyone who had them loved them though. Seems weird that they would stop making them.

Competition = miserable for street use I presume? What are the spring rates?

No they are actually very smooth on the street. The previous buyer told me he had jic set these up to be very streetable.

Not sure on the spring rates I wonder if these have serial numbers on them and if I could call JIC. Also they have 15 different rebound settings they are easily accessible while on the car (rears adjust right on top and the front on the underside of the shock tower which can be seen in the picture).

7k/10k. When I ordered these I asked for the softest spring rates they had.I am the original owner and the one who sold them to VWvortex123. All of the spring specs were on the eBay invoice that was included in the sale.

The spring rates are stamped on the ends of the springs
these are 8(448#/in) & 12(672#/in)

because of the light helper springs and the adjust-ability of the shock even the 8/12 is fine for street use, of course the 7/10 is better w/ more travel

When I spoke with Jon about purchasing my coilovers from JIC a little over a year ago he told me they were moving production from Japan to the USA and that the design was going to change a little (to double adjustable).
It's odd that the 993 applications aren't on their website yet, considering JIC owns/races 993's...
