Hi Bruce7:
I am very interested. I have been looking at and obsessing over the Fister Stage IIIs but I listened to some sound clips of your set up and really liked it.
I am in Chicago. Could you do $450 shipped?
Let me know yes or no.
Thanks a lot,
MIchael

OK, the mufflers are still for sale. Had a couple of nibbles but didn't complete the sale. Here is some additional information about the mufflers.
Why am I selling them? These mufflers came on the car when I bought it last year. I've decided to return my car to stock configuration and installed Motorsound mufflers as it was originally optioned.
As far as how does it compare physically with the Motorsound muffler, below is a side-by-side photo.
As you can see from the photo, the shape of the muffler is different, therefore the Fabspeed muffler strap must be used to mount the muffler.
How much does it weigh? The Maxflo weighs about 12 lbs vs the 17 lbs of the Motorsound muffler.
What's inside the muffler? Unlike the Motorsound muffler, there is no fiberglass packing inside. There also is no by-pass or resonator tube inside. Perforated metal baffling is used.
What models does it fit? The Maxflo mufflers will fit any 993 from 1995-1998, whether they have a Bischoff or Gillet exhaust. If you have a Bischoff exhaust, then the connection to the catalytic converter will require the biscuit and clamp.
If you have the Gillet exhaust, then only the clamp is needed to connect. This is
exactly the same as the Porsche muffler.
Why is it bronze colored? The muffler is made of high quality stainless steel and when it gets hot it will turn a bronze color over time. They can be polished to a mirror-like finish but will not stay that way unless re-polished. The tips will stay shiny for much much longer.
How much to ship? I priced it out to about $40 UPS ground coast to coast. I will ship in two boxes and bubble-wrap everything.
What do they sound like? Fabspeed has a clip on YouTube that provides a pretty good representation:
Priced at $450 + shipping. Price seems about right judging by the response I've seen thus far but open to offers.
Any questions please ask and I will get you the answers.
Thanks,
-bruce
