Default 993 RS Recaro Seat Springs....

hello, I am wondering if anyone has 993 RS Recaro sport seats for a 993, vintage 1996; the springs under the seats have snapped. I spoke with the autobody shops in town and they said that these OEM parts are hard to find.
Does anyone know where to get seat springs for Recaro sport seats? The springs look like a rectangular C, and one of the arms of the C has broken off.
Thanks very much.

Hopefully someone here will be able to help out. I tried to get parts for my A8s about 5 years ago from Recaro and they were COMPLETELY unresponsive. Good luck in your search!

Oh yeah, can you use parts from a Pole Position???

993 RS seats have no springs in any shape or form

I am guessing you have a Hardback sport seat and would of thought any good car upholster could repair for you

Or are you talking about the seat runner ?which is a separate part and can be taken off

I believe the only difference between the RS and Speedster seats is that the latter have a trampoline/suspension system under the bottom cushion. Mine do. Here's a pic I swiped from Pelican:

Default Recaro Info

These guys seem to do/know all recaro, although most seats/kits are older designs. Very helpful guys, send you in the right direction if they can't help. Mark

Default RS seats

NP 993, those silver rectangular shaped "springs" on the edge of the trampoline (and under the removable seat cushion) are the exact ones I am talking about that have broken off one of the arms. In fact, 2 of these springs, for lack of a better term, are broken. On one side, so when I sit in the seat I lean over a bit like the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
I'll check some of the leads given here, thanks so much you guys. A shop in my home town said they could make some if I had problems finding them.

I'd call Tony @ Autobahn. He just rebuilt the internals on my driver seat.

The regular RS seats are "sprung", the clubsport seats have a solid seat base.
