Default 24K mile 96 Cab

Anyone familiar with this car? 24K Blue/Cashmere 96 Cab that spent most of its life in TX. Now in NH.

Friend of mine is interested. Yes, I know that $42K is very strong money for this car.

I noticed the seat bolster as well, and the top....and the school bus suspension. I have a good idea on what he should offer for the car if he wants to make an offer. I am interested in whether or not anyone has specific knowledge of this particular car. This low of a mileage 96 cab is farly rare.

Well, my '06 C2S Cab with 26k on the odometer had the same type of wear on the driver's seat when I purchased it in '11. Easy fix with the right interior guy...

Based on those pics, I think the car looks to be in good shape. The engine looks spotless.

I know myy question is

What does this question " what would you offer ? " have to do with OP`s question " Anyone familiar with this car? " ?

To OP sorry I am not familiar with that particular car .

If I were in the market I'd offer 36k and go up to 38K. I think were buying the milage on the car. Top can be replaced, but as we all know it's a slippery slope.....

$34K would be my max. I am not so impressed with the low miles. The real question is whether maintenance was deferred on a 14+ year old car. When I see a top that is ripped, it makes me wonder what else is needed. Bet a PPI will be an eye opener.

This car has been for sale before (UK owner, etc.)

(1) New Top $2,300
(2) Suspension $2,500-3,500
(3) And probably another $1K for an extra good measure.

Who knows if the speedometer was put "on hold" also with the common 993/Porsche plastic speedo gear failure.........

I repaired my speedo gear immediately, but the thought did cross my mind to keep it disconnected)

If you kept the car in decent shape who would know, that is why the bolster wear looks suspicious to me at 24K.......in general should not have worn that fast.......just another thought
