Magnaflow exhaust
I know Fisters are the way to go, but im a student and I really dont want to spend 400+ on the fisters....yet.. so I was wondering if anyone has the cheaper Magnaflow exhausts on their 993. They are only like $130 but I cant find a video online or a soundclip/enough useful information on this forum about them. Does anyone have a magnaflow exhaust on their car? I know itll be a slippery slope if i do get the fisters but i want to see how magnaflows sound. Any information will greatly be appreciated!!!!
best,
Gabe.
EDIT: Nevermind, i thought there would be a 911 exhaust but there isnt (i assumed because they had for my bmw)
anyone just removed the mufflers? Thats what i did for the BMW and it sounds fantastic, but it has slight drone :/

Unfortunately Magnaflow does not offer any catback systems for Porsches at this time. The company doesn't feel there is any demand for aftermarket Porsche exhaust...
They are about 4" too long, but the 14210 mufflers from Magnaflow will fit under a 993.

You can also utilize something like the 14568 or the 11386 mounted transverse like a Fabspeed system.

Why would you want to rape a perfectly decent street car by removing mufflers?
I just put a custom exhaust on my race Miata, partially consisting of Magnaflow Hashpower-2 muffler and it's beyond unpleasant on the street. This was done for a reason (lost exactly 20 lbs). What's your reason?

Thanks guys!
I was just wondering because I have heard a magnaflow on BMW and it sounded nice. I also thought it was really cheesy to put a magnaflow on a bmw but it really didnt sound bad so i thought i should try it on the porsche. Ill look into the ones mentioned. thanks again!

Gabe, Welcome to the forum, the least expensive route to get a nice tone would be, having your mufflers modiified. Do a search on the LPMM mufflers as previously noted and your local muffler shop should be able to get it done for you.

Nile13,
Hushpowers are Flowmaster products.
If anyone is willing to do some fabrication work or pay a shop to install them I have a set of custom made mufflers that I didn't use.
The pics don't show the steel wool and basalt stuffing inside of them, but they are stuffed with sound damping material where the perforated tubes are. The exterior of the mufflers are unwelded so you can either MIG or TIG weld them if you care about the aesthetics. I am asking $150 for the set + shipping.
The mufflers measure 5x11 oval x 10" long and are almost exactly the same size as stock. The cores are 2.50" and will flow better than the stock mufflers. The back resonance chamber is there to reduce droning.
These are prototypes and the tubing used will effect the sound so I can't promise anything, but they should have a nice deep sound at idle and be pretty loud at high rpm. I can't make more of these so this is the 1 and only set.

Thank you, ill see what I can have done!
Hey chaoscreature.
They look great, but then again i really wont know how they sound!! Let me see if I just save for the fisters because between having those welded and shipped over itll be not much less than getting the fisters.
best,
gabe.
