My fan is a tan color now and looks pretty ugly. The tan paint however looks to be in pretty good shape. I can't see anything wrong with properly prepping the existing paint and just recoating with an engine enamel or similar spray paint.

This prevents removing the factory chromate process Porsche used to get the paint to adhere in the first place.
