Default 996 Turbo Twist rims on 993 911 non turbo - do they fit?

Hey guys,

This is my first post, I've been looking around here since I bought my 1995 Porsche 911 (993) back 2 years ago.

My 911 is bone stock and after much thought I've decided to do my first mod. I found a seller on CL that had a set of OEM 996 Turbo twist 18" rims and decided these are the rims I want on my 911.

However before I pull the trigger I just wanted to find out if they would fit and bolt on to the car with no modification or issues.

Can anyone confirm this? The rears are 295/30/r18 and they look bigger than my stock 17" that came factory on my car.

My car is a 95 Porsche 911 cabriolet 6spd manual.

Thanks!

Those will not fit, those are WB fitmen wheels, you need to get 993 NB twist

What are the size and off sets of the wheels
eg.
Front 18 x 7.5 offset 50
Back 18 x 10 offset 65

The above 996 turbo wheels fit a NB 993.

There is an upgrade required to the older 993 to fit 18 inch wheels.

I have to look at the offsets when I get home from work. What modification is required to get these to fit?

Wide body rear fenders is a good place to start...

^^^ Fronts will fit, but you will need to do this for the backs to fit or weld on some 993 turbo flares.

Well that's a bummer. Anyone know of anyone who wants some 996 TT WB turbo twists with new tires all around?

They arrived at my door yesterday. Paid $1200 for them. Fml

Rear: 255/40ZR17

If the offsets are 50 fronts and 65
What type of wheels are those that you are looking at?
I think what you want is some turbo twist 18" with the offsets I just list it above , here's a picture of my 96 targa with the TT, is this what you want? Or looking for?

As has been mentioned here before the key to whether wheels will fit is the offsets - more so than just the diameter and width. Stock NB offsets are 52 front and 65 rear while WB are 52 front and 46(?) rear.

It's the combination of width, offset and tire height that makes or breaks a fit

The factory n/b fitments of 8ET52 and 10ET65 w/ 225/40 & 265/35 don't leave a whole heck of a lot of room on the table, the taller the ride height the more room though.

The are 996 wheels that do fit 993n/b well, 8ET50 & 10 ET65 w/ 225/40 and 265/35 tires is what you want to be looking for
