Default WTB C2S in Vesuvius or Polar Silver

Hi Rennlisters,

Im looking to buy a C2S in Vesuvius or Polar Silver with less than 40k miles (if possible). It must be a 6 speed and in great condition. If any one knows of any for sale or are planning to sell one themselves, please PM me. I love this forum and know this is the only place to fulfill 993 dreams!

Thanks beforehand!

Mike

Not positive, but wasn't the standard silver for the 2S Arctic? I believe Polar was available, but as a special order in '97 and '98

Opo - thanks for the wishes. When I last searched for my 993TT, it took an everyday ritual of checking everywhere I knew and finally, with luck, I found her. Now I know Im not making it any easier by keeping my options narrow, but I hope perseverance will pay off again!

SilverBox - everyone has a price, what's yours?

I can only imagine what vesuvius must look like first hand, guess I'll have to wait till I find one, but so far even on a computer monitor it looks awesome. There's a Vesuvius one on ebay with pretty low miles, but it's Tiptronic...darn! And it has some interior bits that aren't really my style.

I also love Polar Silver. Had to choose between that and black for my turbo. Despite it's popularity, I still love black so had to get that one out of the way. Glad you guys are still enjoying yours and they look great btw! From what I have read, it looks like Vesuvius 993's grew on trees in Europe and not many made their way over here.

Not sure. I remember coming across a lot of Polar Silver 2S when I was in my hunt. It was harder for me to find the Arctic.
But that was over a decade ago so don't quote me.

There is a '97 C4S on eBay right now. Seems pretty solid. Reasonable price. Sounds like it needs a clutch. It's silver, just can't tell from the pics and they don't have a shot of the vehicle codes so I can't tell.

And this one is in better shape. A 98 C4S, in polar silver. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...ht_1127wt_1078

Sorry, don't know if you're dead set on the C2S or not. Some people seem to like the turbo brakes and 4 wheel drive of the C4S.

FWIW, I have no affiliation with any of these, I am just in the market for a C2S or C4S myself, so I look actively.

Yes. A 2S in Polar would be Paint to Sample from a previous model year because they switched from Polar to Arctic as standard in 1997. Lot's of '96 C4S's in Polar however ..

Matthew-
Yes, Im looking for a C2S only. I have a turbo with awd so thought Id mix it up with a C2S this time around. Any reason why this C4S doesn't speak to you? It looks like a really solid example.

It is a nice example indeed. I am actually looking at tiptronics as my wife has agreed to the purchase as long it is an automatic. Sacrifices all around, but better than no Porsche at all.
