Default Ask the experts (993 forum)

So I am about to change jobs and one of the perks is a very generous car allowance.

You guys are pretty much my source for all things 4 wheels.

What do you recommend based on the below info:

I have 3 kids (8, 4 and 2)
I currently own (no car payments)

2012 Honda Pilot-wifes vehicle, hauls the whole family
2012 Honda accord-Au pairs (nanny) car, hauls kids
2002 MB E320 100,000 miles runs great needs nothing
1995 993 C2-garage queen
1962 356 T6B-hardly ever drive it, but hope to log some miles this summer

We have 3 cars that can fit all the kids and one that can fit everyone including nanny.

no more than $40K, $35 would be great!

Only thing on the list so far is an 2004-2006 E55 AMG

What would you add? Does a Cayman make sense? Thought about a Maserati, but don't want the service/maintenance costs.

Work from home or drive 25 miles to the airport only.

Thanks in advance

Does your new position require you to take clients in the car?

Solomon-not a boat person, father in law had two boats and to be honest, no one ever wanted to help clean the boat or do any of the maintenance necessary before or after you went out in the boat...

Liking the RS4 idea. No on thinks the E55?

Don't think I would do another 993-if I went Porsche, probably Cayman or water cooled 911

If you've never had the chance to drive a rs4....you'll be amazed, the sound and power alone are intoxicating..yet with 4 drs it's still a sleeper car, pretty civilized and still has recaros to boot.PLus at this point they're old enough to where the depreciation hit has been taken, and are probably gong to hold there value for the next few years, especially with the introduction of it's newer supercharged 6cyl brother.

Ok, maybe I am looking in the wrong places, but I am seeing 90,000 mile RS4's for like $35K-$38K and 30,000 mile cars for $50K. Can I find one with like 40-50,000 miles for around $37-40K.

Other contenders CLS55 or CLK55. A friend recommended a 550i sport, but I am not a fan of the body lines. M3?
