77'2.6vram, why would you think that it must feel totally underpowered? Just curious.
I don't know how much it weights but the parts that came off weighted more or less the same as the parts that went on. Front bumper vs. Front bumper, Rear deck weighs a little more than previous, metal fenders were cut off before new fenders went on so its a push on weight. Rocker panels that came off weigh about the same as the rockers that went on. The wheels are wider than the 18's I had on but they weigh less than the previous wheels so again a push. so all in all I'd say it doesn't weigh much more than it did before we started.
The car is lower than before so the handling feel is slightly better. The biggest thing about driving the RWB is the pre-planning on where you are going. are the driveways into shops and homes going to clear the lowered front end? Can I get into that gas station curbing etc?
Also, before the conversion, I felt the car wondered on the road, it would track left and right based on the ruts in the roads or interstates. We confirmed the alignment was within spec. After we added the larger rubber, that felling is the same or slightly more. I don't know how to correct that. The other main difference is the width of the rear fenders, this can make it difficult to judge parking spaces vs. parallel parking etc.
Some have stated the wider fenders and larger deck lid will cause such an areo(sp?) drag that the car will be slower and I just don't believe that between 0-60 you can feel a major difference due to areo. Now if we were running Daytona yes, areo would play a major factor but stop light to stop light I don't see it.

Truly awesome build, and what a toy to have in "that" garage. Makes for an interesting paradox similar to a classic car gem/barn find in an otherwise non-pretentious garage/storage area.

I still can't believe that I missed out on purchasing this exact 993 by 10 minutes! nonetheless, the car looks great and I'm happy to see how it turned out.

haha no, I actually picked up my 95' about a week after you purchased the slate grey metallic one. I really like what you did with the car though, I wish I could afford to have Nakai-San do the RWB treatment on my 993.

Works for me, and several others here on this board.
