never used facebook. I can see using it to keep up with someone out of the country, but from what I understand from friends who use it, people update it with the most uninteresting/worthless info. Oh well, I guess at 45yrs I am not hip and cool anymore. Thank goodness for that!

I check Rennlist much more than FB, but the latter is an excellent way to see what's going on in people's lives. I don't live near a lot of my friends, so it's a great way to "stay in touch" in my busy life. It took me a few months to understand how Facebook would have any utility in my life, but I slowly began to see it.

same here...but if I was on Facebland, it would probably go something like this
"just sat down to enjoy a mid morning cup of Columbian coffee, gentle rain showers have given away to white puffy clouds now. No rainbow, but the rain drops are glistening on the leaves as I type....aahhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
Wow, maybe I should get a FB account, precious nuggets like that above are sure to endear me to thousands nationwide. But really, not having a FB account really menas I have about as many real friends as virtual ones...zero.
